Another Saturday morning. Another morning at Stumpy Lake. The leaves were really starting to look like Autumn. The birds were still not there in big numbers.
When I first arrived, I went over to the kayak launch and noticed a lot of small birds in the trees behind me. I turned my attention to them and did my best trying to locate them with my Nikon 800mm PF lens that was attached to my Nikon Z9.
I noticed a lot of them were Yellow-rump Warblers and I was able to get images of several of them. This one is probably my favorite.
I found a couple of Great Egrets while I was there. One was near the kayak the launch. Grabbed a couple of photos of it. I found another one roosting in a Cypress tree and I grabbed a couple of images of it, including this one.
I’ll be back next Saturday as the weather looks to be cool but sunny in the morning. Hoping to see a few more birds.
